Transmutation just swaps 4 cards for a random card, fusion combines like cards to make a more powerful one.

Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk

Fusion is the one i did. I did something like the 40% health and 40% shield card together and i seriously swear to god i got nothing in return. i only had 1 sheild card and its gonskis. And no other cards have any shield benefit.
i had 3 health cards, now i have 2.

:/

Invite too please.....

We need to build a barracks to have more members, to do this we need to finish the reactor and the hallway. You also need to build a Dojo Key and that is a bit of farming, maybe we could catch up tonight and help you out?

I've had a couple games and it's OK but pretty boring. I think we have a clan or something set up. Ask Aro he might be able to tell you more?

Farming is what you need to do, and lot's of it.

Ok so resurrecting this thread as I'm downloading it now to try out with @Auldar and @ViRuSsK

So I've watched some videos, looks like a 3rd person Destiny, aka grindfest, but hey I'll give it a run.

Any starting tips you can pass on Auldar as I know you've played it a fair bit (or anyone else that sank time into it)? For starters, which frame is good to start with?

YOure only given a small selection of frames at the start, so really just choose one with abilities / weapons n such that you think you will like, Later on you can build more advanced frames and such.

And if youre one who usually doesnt pay attention to the tutorial... might pay to pay attention to this one :p

I used to play on pc when it released... no idea what my level was though

Watched a few videos and most people seem to say it's better to start with Excalibur or Mag. Excalibur seems well rounded, but Mag looks more interesting to me.

I never enjoyed Excalibur. Mag has some use later in game. Volts ok.

Bows are hard to use to go with the Braton to start with..

L3 to toggle sprint
L1 to start to slide but gives a burst of speed. Press it until just before you would slide, repeatedly gives you extra speed

From an L1 slide hit jump and you'll go fast, while in midair, hit R1 (might be circle with the new layout) and you'll attack with melee giving you some more distance. Then L1 again to start it again. (This gives you speed runs). Some melee weapons are better than others to get extra distance.

I used to use Nova a lot but she got nerfed as she was WAY OP.. Kill everything in a huge radius. Now I use Rhino prime to kill everything in a very big radius (not as much damage though) but also make them freeze for some time.

You need to farm bosses for the component blueprints and then farm resources to make the components. You then buy the frame blueprint to make it with the components.

Rhino is from the Jackal on Fossa, Venus.

Got virus the 3 components in about 5 or 6 runs. Now he needs some mats to make them..

The best sentinel is carrier as it vacuums up all the mods and ammo around you.

The best sentinel weapon is sweeper (IIRC).

To get the most out of every frame and weapon and carrier, you need mods which can be found doing missions, and some can only be found in the void by using keys..

IMO the best use of starter platinum is probably a Carrier sentinel, and maybe some extra slots for warframes and weapons.

Orokin Reactors and catalysts double the mod capacity of frames and weapons and are essential to max out mods. Look Gift of the Lotus missions after a Devstream for a mission to earn them. Otherwise they're a good buy with starter plat too.

Use it on a frame you're going to keep though.

Ah I also remember there is a rank requirement to use Rhino and some other frames. I think Rhino is rank 2..

Think I'll start with Mag and see how ai go from there, looks like it could be something else to muck around in while we wait for new content in Destiny.

Good choice.

Just remembered something else. You rank up mastery by levelling up frames and weapons. There's a limited amount of xp you can gain. If you sell a weapon without getting it to 30, you're leaving some of your mastery potential on the shelf. That means in the late game if you want to get max mastery (takes ages) you'll have to get those weapons again and re-start levelling them.

Note you only get the xp from them once. If you level one to 15, sell it and get a new one, xp doesn't count toward mastery until the weapon hits rank 16..

Also, regarding starter plat. The ONLY thing you can't eventually earn in the game is extra slots for weapons and warframes.

As such many people recommend only spending it on those and then grind out the rest. While true, Carrier makes such a difference that I still think it's worth buying.

I eventually spent about $180 on this F2P game because I felt I got about 2 normal games worth of value out of it (over 200 hours, which pales in comparison to destiny ;))
