Funny you should say that as that voice (also the voice of the hologram guy at 1min 24) is Lance Reddick, aka, Commander Zavala

Really looking forward to this game, one of the first build specifically for PS Pro, so it should look great.

I dont think that is the case. This game was announced long before Pro was known about, and i'm pretty sure it's original release date was scheduled for before the Pro was even released.

I think the Razman is correct. This one has been talked about for a fair while now.

I still reckon it's a knock-off of ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West

I should clarify, what I meant was it's one of the first Sony exclusive that will take full advantage of the PS Pro from day 1 and not via patched in support, which often has issues.

Not 100% sure but looks like they are using his face also......(I have not seen him since Fringe)

This game was not on my radar, but after the trailer I will be interested to see reviews. Seems like effort has been put into the story and cutscenes.

Yeah the hologram does look fairly close to him thats for sure. Good actor / voice actor, but will still just make me think of Zavala anytime I hear his voice these days

Or, to be pendantic, it means they did the patching at the studio before going gold!  So hopefully more thoroughly tested.

An embargo just lifted so there are many new "hands on" videos out today. Apparently graphically impressive on ps4pro.

Short video about gameplay, no story

Longer gameplay video

It looks very pretty and it's a good sign that they mention the story is drawing them in a bit, I have a few concerns about it, mechanically speaking I never like having to craft constantly (as was mentioned with arrow crafting to make sure you dont run out) it can sometimes feel like you spend all your time farming for crafting mats, hopefully it's not quite that bad, but overall it's looking like a good game and I'm keen to play it.

Review for the game is out. Funny thing is IGN gave it an amazing review but Eurogamer was good but ........   Refreshing though to see a developer with enough faith in their game not to have a review embargo till after game goes on sale.

What's up with USgamer though?

 - A Familiar, Boring Grind
 - Horizon Zero Dawn has an Identity Crisis
 - Horizon Zero Dawn is disappointing. It has a story that I struggled to care about (complete with massive expository dumps—yay), a bland protagonist, and overtly repetitive and constraining missions that worked against its open world sensibilities. When Horizon Zero Dawn hit its rare strides—from its gloomy Cauldrons to traveling across its sprawling vistas—it only made me wish the rest of the game were as worthwhile.

Just think this reviewer does not like this style of game.

Probably a COD player  :troll:

Wow, rather scathing.. funny that a lot of other review praise it's story and some going as far as saying it's the best story in a 1st party game since the last of us (high praise, but we will see if its worthy).

Just think this reviewer does not like this style of game.

Probably about right, that's the thing with reviews, it's all opinion.

I expect the pre-release reviews will add some sales for this game (at release price rather than later down the line on sale). I will probably pick it up because I now know there is a decent story and lore - I was not really interested previously.

Hopefully it will tide me over until Andromeda.

4hr hours in - up to the proving

Visually - stunning.

Gameplay - cross between Mass Effect (which I love) and Dragon Age: Inquisition (Which I hated)

I so torn - don't know if I like it or not.  :o

I am well after the proving and I actually like it. The story has peaked my interest and I love the gameplay.

For me the story is compelling enough to drive me to keep at it.
