The Division - End Game
« on: March 18, 2016, 04:23:54 PM »
So you hit level 30
What next?

You will want to start getting Phoenix Credits (PCredits or PCs).
In short you get 15 from each daily (hard mode of 3 missions) & 30 from the daily Challenge. Also named enemies from PvE or the DZ drop 1-5.

This is the fastest way to grind Phoenix credits. Fast - but boring. 100 or more per hour, I confirmed this today (150 ish in about 80 minutes).

Spoilers as it is cheezy/exploitative - probably will be patched at some stage.

There is a few maps which have named enemies marked inside & outside the dz
Here is an example

So what is everyone's suggestion for first purchase with Phoenix credits?

I bought stamina knee pads blueprint first (still using these), but probably would have targeted the black market ak47 blueprint if I had the patience. If you prefer smg then the vector blueprint.

Each time you craft these items you get random traits - when min/maxing you can craft over and over until you get what you want.

Ok so AK-47 or the Vector blueprints seem to be the popular answer when I'm looking around the interwebs, I'm partial to SMG's and in particular love the Vector (though that probably stems from fond memories of using it in Modern Warfare 2 haha)

Just be aware that assault rifles have better range than SMG. SMG have better critical hit chance though.

I find the extra range is more useful in the hard content (challenge mode) - but smg maybe is faster to grind when you can just run up to enemies and unload a clip into their face without much need for cover.

A lot depends on personal preference and play style.  I rock an SMG/Assault Rifle in the DZ, and switch to SMG/Marksman in challenges.  If you can handle the recoil on the AK its a beast of a gun.

I've been using SMG / marksman outside of DZ and was running with SMG / LMG In DZ for lack of a decent AR until last night.

I think I will aim for the vector first.

I would say run a few challenges, pick up some HE gear and then use PCredits to buy blueprints for gear to fill the gaps of what you need.
Weapons i seem to have heaps of, and my superior ones are better then the HE ones I have. (Although I am yet to get a HE marksman rifle).

Luck wasn't on my side  I got the vector last night after running 2x challenging missions and 1x hard. It rolled with Self Preserved (Critical hits with this weapon heal the user) Brutal (Headshot damage is increased) and Commanding ( Every kill performed while the Signature Skill is active extends its duration).. Brutal is nice, self preserved is ok, but commanding is disappointing. It also rolled in the mid range of it's potential damage output. It'll do for now to grind up some more crafting mats and Phoenix Credits though.

Also got a HE mask and knee pads from the challenging runs so in 2 nights I went from being all blue to all purple and 3 HE, let the grind begin. Big thanks to @SmashedPumpkin for keeping @Destille82 @Toborstrike and I alive through the challenging runs (Tobor and my first attempts) and also Tobor found the best possible cheese spot after getting stuck inside a wall and he could shoot out at nearby enemies but they could get him

Makes sense but id say the ilvl 32 stuff will be "set" items that are not craft-able who knows!

either way i think we all have so much crafting mats it probably wont be an issue ....unless.....they require div tech.

If it's like destiny they will introduce a new material which only drops from the Incursions which are required to craft / gear up set items. I doubt they will do that though.

Everyone keeps going on about how Ubi / Massive have "learnt from Destiny", if they went and did this then they definitely have not learnt from Destiny.

I think the smart money is on set item drops as being about to craft lvl32 items with standard mats rubs out Div Tech being king of the hill in crafting and if they release Incursion Blueprints needing Div Tech then the bottle neck that already exists becomes a log jam.

Half the reason I got burnt out on Destiny was playing 3 characters and grinding the same over and over.. I don't fancy running alts in a game where your characters are the same with the same skills just to grind more.
