PES 2017 initial impressions - small changes, GKs improved, defense improved.

Weeden Productions has been at konami
we can only assume he is helping make a new trailer of his own.
(He has recreated some of the Euro Goals in pes2016, looks amazing, not sure why he is only uploading to fb and not youtube anymore)

Some screenshots from his fb.

Here is the typical PR/marketing from E3. Link above has more info. He obviously has a checklist of what points he wants to make - and can't mention anything else.

 I only buy a new football game every two years but it looks good. Hopefully all the leagues I want are licenced by 2018  :buds:

Another hands on impression (no footage). I don't want to buy it but I know I will.

I think PES is getting less licenses this year. However, option files will be sharable this time - download off net , import 1 file to game, then you have all the league's and kits in your game.

Thats so much better than spending all that time on the individual kits...hence why my 2016 is as it came.

The option file will also include players this time. What this means is people (pes universe etc) can and will re create all the classic players (looks and stats) & we can import classic teams and players in with that 1 file!
Who knows if konami aren't behind some of the extra customisation as a way to get around lisencing etc...

Edit: I think that footage is pes2016, just YouTube clickbait.

I think your right.
All the other pes2017 videos are in another language... I hate youtube not having a filter

Finally some gameplay, PvP - from recent 3hr private Konami invitation only event. IGN also has a gameplay video up (Vs AI), but no indication of which game difficulty setting so I wont post link.

The ease of some of those goals is a bit concerning. This is IGNs video though so maybe the game difficulty isn't very high (don't know if it was IGN staff playing it either). Youtubers previously stated that they found it difficult to score against the AI, so hopefully some of them will give further impressions of the AI.

Anyway, I can see improvements from last year's edition and want to get my hands on the demo.

Impressions from PES Universe

Part 1 - Barcelona V Atletico Madrid

Part 2 - Germany V France
Oezil and Neuer look like evil synthetics during national anthems, really creepy

The game does sound good. If playing against AI is challenging then I will have to buy. Will feel dirty giving money to konami again after last year's efforts.

Konami are not only partnering with Barcelona, but also EPL giants Liverpool.

Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen will be legend players in the game.

Edit: coming "sometime after release" in "free update", including anfield
