After turn 10 screwed over 360 gamers with the shitty FH2 port, I swore I would never buy another of their games.
But the inclusion of off roaders and Aussie muscle from the 70's and 80's has me re-thinking....

A9X
GTHO
XBGT
GTS Monaro
Sandman
VL Dunnydoor
Opel Kadett (Essentially my Grandma's Holden Gemini, but on steroids)

Also Godzilla

They probably discuss this in the video (I didn't watch it all) but I wonder if they'll have Australian city landmarks or is it all outback/forest areas?

OK, I love the demo. I might preorder the Ultimate Edition very soon. Looks and runs amazing on the Xbox One.

I tried it last night, and it's good enough for me to buy the standard edition. The VIP and free add-on cars on offer don't really interest me, and last time I bought a car pass for a Forza game, I wound up with a heap of junk and only a few keepers. Did you notice you can have the festival girl Friday call you M.Rossi?

So you don't recommend the VIP pack? I'm still on the fence on whether to get the UE or just Standard copy.

No, I didn't notice that mate. Will have to have another look, I just automatically go with what it suggests.

I wouldn't recommend or discourage VIP. It's just not my personal taste in cars. Ultimate edition gives you VIP, 3 car packs, car pass for monthly free cars, and early access of 4 days. It's a gamble with car passes. You get a cheaper price than buying individually, but have no control over what you're given.

I'm really looking forward to this. I'll pre-order physical, I think.

1. Choose player character wearing a flannel
2. Acquire Torana and apply conspicuous SLR5000 stickers
3. Set up a playlist of AC/DC on Groove radio channel
4. Slow laps of Surfers Paradise strip.

Just missing a bottle of Jack and pack of Winnie reds to complete Bogan simulator 1986.
Growing up on the Gold Coast in the 80's was amusing.

Will someone be creating a WpR club? If so, count me in from Tuesday.

So I'm working my way to setting up my 3rd festival as that's the requirement to open an ingame Club, should be done by the standard release though.

This game looks great so I've been keeping an eye on reviews etc, so i find it curious that driveclub got smashed (in general, not necessarily on our forum) for being 30 fps but there is virtually no mention or negative feedback about forza being :only: 30fps

There is a lot of overly positive reviews for what is a very nice looking arcade racer.  They definitely tie the experience together better than driveclub, and dumb the driving down.

I think it comes down to the PS4 at the time was touted as the more powerful console and 1080p/60fps was the talk of the internet and when DriveClub was announced everyone scrutinized all the tech demos and hammered Sony for a laughable 30fps target. Xbox One has an established franchise that has always run at 30fps and it's also the less powerful console so I guess not many people care? Plus I think the 1080p/60fps argument for consoles is pretty much over with PC fans moving on with life and the announcement of the PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio.

Or I could just be talking out my arse and the reason DC got so much hate was because of bandwagon haters just following along because it's the "cool thing to do"

With that said, PC gamers really aren't having a great experience with this title.

I don't get the FPS obsession. If it looks good, I don't care what number is after the FPS. Horizon 3 looks good to me on Xbone.

In unrelated news, I wondered why the Toranas were so cheap on the auction house until:

Could finally set up a Club last night, had to put WpR- as their was already a club using WpR

Expanded my Sunshine Coast festival to Stage 3 and purchased the HSV GTS. While looking for a design to apply, I noticed there was a Peter Brock one so applied that and it looks pretty good.
