Everybody's Golf (ps4)
« on: June 20, 2017, 07:39:28 PM »
Release date 30 August (2017).

Always enjoyed this series more than realistic golf games. Simple 3 touch swing with added ballspin using d-pad. Not sure about the multiplayer changes though - trolling will be widespread.

Hopefully a new tennis will be on the way too.

I decided to pick this game up to play for the next week. Blast from the past - same great gameplay from the previous titles. Fun for a casual golf game.

Lots of cosmetic character customisation and skills level up as you play. Online tournaments are available but I am more interested in single player.

On a side note: I had to turn off HDR because it is blindingly bright for this title, not sure if I should be adjusting tv settings but Horizon looked fine.

HDR is selectable in-game and my tv autodetects it. It is just a game with bright colours, so with hdr on (in game and tv) it is too bright for my eyes.

Will have to fiddle with my TV hdr brightness settings maybe, but I thought it was meant to be left on max brightness.

What TV is it? The Samsungs don't support multiple HDR settings on one HDMI so you have to adjust the backlight between games with and without HDR. Also find I have to turn the sharpness right down on the PS4 and XBox inputs.

I tried a 9-hole course online last night on an open course. I thought 6 under par was a good score....top 100 is all -16 and -15

Will probably pick this up when it's on sale, I enjoyed the earlier games in the series and loved playing it on the go on my PSP.
