I don't suppose there's room to have a rational conversation about point 2 is there?

As someone who's been a WpR member for over 2 years in many games (but not in the Destiny clan), I find points 1 and 2 fairly contradictory. (Be active on the forum because this is a community that's bigger than one game, but if you're not in our clan in that one game, you're not WpR).

I'm very upset that I'm now considered to not be WpR because I rep clan tags from the Destiny clan I've been in since the D1 beta.

This has been discussed before for the people who played lots of D1, and it was never considered a problem.

Can we talk about this or is it a "it's not you it's me" conversation? 😢

@Auldar  I think ant just means priority for events etc. Unless I'm reading it wrong you are sweet to put your name down but just be aware the d2 clan members will get first dibs. The rules were relaxed on this issue a fair while ago. I'm sure the reds and putrid mangoes will chim in shortly.

I'm not looking to overstep either (and happy to be put back in my box) but I'm not sure why this has suddenly become a requirement when it wasn't an issue/mentioned throughout D1.

I know there are several WpR site members who fall into this category.
Of course it would be ideal & preferable if everyone was in the in-game clan, but it would be a real shame to start excluding long time members just because they aren't.
Yes we'd miss out on the clan related xp from that person now that Destiny has clan related progression, but that's no big deal.

I've always loved that WpR has been more a casual/social gaming community and not one of the hardcore competitives.
This is what draws people to the clan to begin with and what keeps the great ones around.

I understand the point, i just didn't think about it affecting WpR in any negative way.

Auldar we have many members in WpR who are also members of other clans, particularly if there is a clan active in another game we are not etc. Just because you are choosing to be in another clan for Destiny does not mean you are kicked out of WpR! But if you are in another clan for Destiny and choosing to have that clan banner and rewards then as Ant said, we will give priority to clan members in D2 for clan night raids. Especially as we are all trying to reap clan rewards.

We have trial members who joined up in D2 and we really should be getting them into clan night raids.

Does that make sense? No one is kicking you out! It is just the order of priority for the clan nights is all.

Guys can we stop the chat in this thread now and keep it for housekeeping. We can continue it elsewhere.

Let me know where you'd like to continue this conversation because no I don't think it's fair to be treated as a 2nd class citizen all of a sudden

Auldar we will discuss it - can you please keep this thread for the D2 housekeeping.

You have made your points clearly and the clan leaders will discuss it and get back to you. I promise it will be looked into.

Thanks.

I recall from when I was orange in d1 that the rule was preference was given to those who had not raided for the week. Being in a different in game clan was not an issue since at wpr we always considered ourselves a mature casual gaming community and not a clan, as mix said. As long as people were active on our forums they are wpr.

ok, I have split this topic and reworded it. I think I got the sentiment about right. If not please, politely, correct me in this thread. I am feeling touchy this week, so I will over-react to emotive replies.
