Disc tray? Curious to know what disc's are going to hold a 4k/8k game data?

None, 100gb+ day 1 patches for the win.

lol Spaz thinks they will need a 10tb SSD for those types of numbers.

Anyone thinking streaming games is in the pipes as well?

They actually confirmed they're working on streaming. Said when we launch, you'll understand our strategy.

Too bad for the plebs on rubbish interwebs ............................ not Spaz sucka's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! boyahahahahahahahhahahaha boi!   :troll:

Sony already has a game streaming service - and it is awful, but I am sure they would be looking at newer tech so they dont get left behind in certain markets.

I'm yet to see any game streaming service that has impressed me much. It definitely seems to be the way of the future, but internet services have a long way to go before it'll be a decent reality for much of the world let alone Australia.

*Yawn*  Spaz's PC loads shite faster than the PS4 Pro of the same game. Spaz recalls them mentioning this in the PS4 release hype ............................... Spaz managed to improve it by putting a SSD in the Pro. Anthem anyone  :P

Show me the final release model doing that and Spaz will be impressed. So far the current gen struggles to do 1080p @30fps. The bar will be set high for 'next pleb' consoles 1080p @45fps ................ feel the future boi!

1080p@45fps? Ha!

It's been mentioned that it'll be 4K@60fps across the board!
I think it's shaping up to be pretty decent. I know I'm locked in - my wife already knows this is a purchase that will be happening (next year hopefully!)

lol @mimix remember the claims for the PS4? Wasn't it meant to have seamless transitions and no load times and solid 1080p@60fps? No doubt the new one will be a better speced version but until it is shown running a real game Spaz will not buy the hype. Still getting 2 on release though  :P

Interesting to see how its all shaping up, wont pretend that it wont be a day 1 purchase barring some monumental disappointment with it.

Winning

As for everything, the proof is in the pudding. I can see myself getting one due to Sony producing good exclusives, and I hope it will not be another jet engine.

I hope so, too! I don't feel like opening up another console to re-paste and put new pads on.

Had to do both the Pro and OG this generation.

1080/60 , 4k/60 are all rubbish to use as any sort of benchmark. I'm sure my old PS3 can do 4k/60 if it's only rendering a cube.

We should be talking about options and fidelity.
Give us 4k/60 as 1 option and then other options that bump up the fidelity and quality.
This is why tflops is a slightly better tool to compare with, but even then it's flawed because of so many other considerations...even potentially different forms of ray tracing these days.

But give me better loading times any day. That looks fucking impressive

Also, what the console is capable of does not necessarily reflect what games will be like. An example is HZD that very really, if ever, displayed a loading screen during the game. Other titles like GOW could take note of this.

AMD announcing tech powering PS5.

Using a brand new built from scratch design RDNA, 1.25x improvement per clock, and 1.5x improvement per watt.

More Ps5 specs:

Confirmed SSD
Can run 4k @120mhz .......................... lol ok now!!!!!
Cross-Gen play. Means your PS4 saves work on PS5. Spaz used to think this is important but Spaz hasn't played a PS3 game since the PS4 released. This makes Spaz think the PS5 will have zero games on release and they will try to flog PS4/3 games on the now service or re-imblagined.
