The recent patches were about 2-3GB each (2 in the last 2 weeks).. but uhh.. yeah.. as spaz said.. the 'day 1' patch was pretty ridiculous.. about 50gb.. combine that with a 40gb (thereabouts) game install and its a bit of a wait just to play  :grave:

Welcome to West Virginia, where the monsters are big and the bugs are bigger... :troll:

Which mission are you on, there might be a way to kick it to the next stage as sometimes you can go get / do the next step and it'll move along.

Super early on . When you get your first camp . You have to listen to the holotape message . It crashed post that but when i reload the step is to listen to the message which isnt there anymore and isnt in my inventory.

Im just going to restart . I only lost a couple of hours aimlessly wandering

Haha there are even more controversies now!

Code for pay2win lootboxs has been added to the game, even showing xp boosters, storage increases, etc

And the community is totally loving the Xmas skins and emotes that cost a fortune (and 'fake' discounted shown as 'on special!' now even tho they were never available at the original price)

Bloody YouTube keeps showing me fallout stuff coz it knows it makes me lol
At this stage though, I'm starting to get over it. Bethesda has totally failed and is constantly making it worse.

I expect this game to be free to play in the next 6 months, funded by its $20 skins (lol)

I think the fake discounts are breaking US laws.

Yup , and auto marketing opt ins for all of zenimaxs products apparently break EU laws (and I think Oz laws, depending on how they did it...but it's been a little while since I worked with our marketing team so I can't quite remember the details)

Greetings,
Thank you for your interest in receiving a Power Armor Edition Canvas Bag replacement.
Your request has been validated and you’re approved to receive your new canvas bag once it has been manufactured. Please allow 4-6 months for manufacturing and delivery.
In the meantime, we are ensuring that everyone who is eligible for a new canvas bag receives 500 complementary ATOMs. If you have not already received your ATOMs, please stand by while they are applied to your account. This may take a couple of days.
Once we have confirmed the ATOMS are in your account, you will receive another confirmation email.
Thank you for your patience.
Kind Regards,
Bethesda Support

Congrats on having your private information stolen spaz ;)

Anyway, as a Christmas gift, there is another debacle around Fallout. This time surrounding their premium Nuka Dark Rum product.
Basically, the pictures, description and price implies that you get a cool collectors bottle that looks like what's in game. Instead, you get a shitty rum, in a shitty bottle, that is encased in a shitty plastic housing.
Oh, and it was delayed over and over again too

My favourite quotes from the emails the supplier sent were
'it wasn't up to Fallout standards' (HAHAHA)
'super premium product' (HAHAHAH x2 . I could probably 3d print a better casing)

I decided to stop posting in this thread from the new year, even though 'teh funnies' continued to occur on almost a daily basis (in fact, from about midnight on new years it started, since the game was coded so bad the change in year fucked up a bunch of things).
It was getting to a stage for me where the continued disasters were actually getting sad rather then providing me with entertainment.

ANYWAY

Can't resist this one. Looks like the newest patch accidentally rolled the game back to a previous version and re introduced a bunch of shit that was fixed/changed already.

The gross incompetence is astounding.

Oh well, at least I can buy a $276(US) leather fallout jacket that looks like an IKEA bag

There is a class lawsuit by customers against Bethesda. 2019 is not the year for the big game companies...

I stopped playing just before christmas, the game had potential and if the devs could fix its issues and add content on a regular basis it could've been good, but as it goes with a lot of games I stopped playing one day and just didnt feel like it was worth going back to again.
