$50 seems a bit steep if it is that short

I'm a hard core MGS fan, so I was willing to pay that, but if you do all the side missions it's a lot longer

Took me about 4 hours on the first mission. Now to do the additional missions

I think I'll get more playtime from this then most of the CoD's combined lol

I am also a hardcore mgs fan.

I will pick up a copy of Ground Zeros when I know I have some free time coming up so I can finish it.

Played Ground Zero's today. Finished the main story in a couple of hours, and that was with me just sitting around scoping the enemy and planning my stealthy plan of attack.
Will go a few side missions.

I am not sure I followed the story. After playing all the metal gear's over the years, I dont recall the actual story and where this fits in to it. Playing Metal Gear Rising was entertaining for a little but completely different to the original stealth gameplay.
I still enjoyed it and look forward to Phantom Pain.

Looked friggin awesome.
I watched the live stream last night, shaping up to be one of the best metal gears!

Loved the base management in Peace Walker and this takes it to a whole new level.

I must have missed playing Metal Gear Peacewalker. I have played all over metal gears from the original 1, 2, 3, 4, rising and now ground zeros. I purchased Metal Gear HD Peacewalker on ps3 digitial for $21. I will play through that for now.

Is the official release date of Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain - TBA 2014?

Peace Walker was actually a really good game despite being a PSP game originally.
Mother base management, R&D made it pretty addictive.
MGS5 is more like peace walker than MGS4 judging by the 30" gameplay vid so good idea to play PW!

After first when I started playing Peace Walker I thought it was very cheap. But considering it was originally a psp game, it makes sense. The enenmy AI is hopeless and the gameplay and stealth / movement isnt that great. You cant drag the enemy, only flip them. And you get seen, Alert, just flip every guy and your safe. It is quite basic and not that enertaining overal. But the base management is great. A lot of fun, this has a really good base to build a fantastic game for MGS5.

With the motherbase backing, building your weapons, army etc.. and having MGS4 -> MGS GZ gameplay, this will really be awesome.

I know exactly where youre coming from about the gameplay shortcomings and feeling cheap/basic compared to MGS4.

Suprisingly though I really got into the game once I got used to it. Management of mother base and developing weapons to use in missions became really addictive.

The story is heavily referred to in GZ and the recent trailers released. There are so many good analysis videos on youtube, im really excited for Phantom Pain!!

Who thought that dropping supplies on enemies heads was a good idea? Any idiot could see/hear something like that coming. Weird decisions like that add unnecessary slapstick to an otherwise good game.

The game looks good. Will keep my eye out for more info.
