I was reading how Dragon Age will have a multiplayer aspect where you can group with 4 players, sort of like doing a Destiny Strike, but its a random campaign.

Yeah they will have a 4 player co-op, similar to ME3's co-op which yep is a little like a Strike, but will have much more randomness to it, objective rounds will have random objectives from defend a point, deliver a thing, defuse a series of things, kill high rank targets etc.

I loved all the Mass Effects & am a big fan of the universe / story its set in. Bioware is a top developer in my opinion.
i never knew of/ tried co op in me3.

Can we add a poll to see who will get this game on release (nov 21). I'm not sure what to play first, this or Far Cry 4.
Hopefully will have Assassin Creed Unity finished by then (nov 13 release )

Co-op rundown:

Ok so the co-op will be a 4 player dungeon romp based in the same maps as the single player but tweaked for MP.

It is a separate (standalone) experience and not tied to the single player game, ala ME3 and the stupid galatic readiness rating.  So you don't have to play the co-op if you don't want to.

Each Co-op mission will be set in a specific area of the single player maps, where there are 10 prebuilt objectives area.  Each mission will randomly load 5 of those 10.  Not sure if order is important yet and what difficult levels they will provide.

So its not a wave/horde based co-op but more a complete a random set of dungeon objectives.  So each time should be a different experience, unlike a Destiny Strike.

4 MP characters to pick from, and seems Borderlands-ish with each having a skill tree with options etc.  Mage, Fighter, Rogue n Archer.  Looks like you can have more than one of each type too, so if you want 2 mages builds you can :)

Lots of stuff yet to be confirmed, but there is loot and knowing bioware, there will be RNG attached to the loot :)

Will update when I know more.

Apparently I made it into the closed beta, so have signed my NDA and have access to the Keep and the beta forums.

Will provide some updates once I actually start doing something :)

I just checked my junk mail folder and it appears I am in it as well :D

Yes that is going to make me not really want to bother with MP.

Just checked my email and it looks like I am also in the closed Beta.

Doesnt bother me so much, as KZ, BF and many other games I play keep them separate when the MP isn't attached to the storyline.  That and the MP will probably be a separate downloadable ala KZ:SF co-op, so there's always the marketing reason ;)

With Far Cry 4 tho, I hope they are not separate, hoping for the jump-in story type co-op.

I think AssCreed will have to go into my pile of shame for awhile. Looking forward to playing through DA - I hope it can keep my attention for the 90 or so hours. Im up for trying out the online part of it too when people here are getting it.

Its only 90 hours to complete the main story Pumpkin, sounds like its hundreds of hours to explore/unlock the open world side of things.

I will definitely be hitting up the co-op mate, I was a big fan of the ME3 co-op, and this is a watered down version of that, but like ME3's includes micro-transactions.

With ME3 all the MP and MP DLC were free, so a few of us would buy a few RNG gear packs with each DLC drop (about $3).  In theory, the micro-transactions will be optional like ME3 and give you the same gear packs you can earn in game.

GET READY FOR INQUISITION WITH THE DRAGON AGE KEEP

We’ve made it easier for you to get ready for Inquisition with the new World State Manager!

https://dragonagekeep.com/en_US/worldvault/

1. Set-up your world state using the Keep.

2. Select ‘Export to DA Inquisition’

3. Make sure you see the DAI icon appear with a green check mark.

4. Start a new game in DAI and follow prompt to import from Keep

You can select all the choices you made in the previous games to customise how Inquisition will start. (I can't remember most of them but i generally play the same given the same options).

New to Dragon Age?, For more information on how to prepare check out this tutorial:

First double GG 10/10 review for the year. Actually really looking forward to playing DA. GTA V will have to wait awhile in my pile of shame - which is now 6 unopened games for ps4.

What class is everyone going to start with? I usually roll some kind of mage or sword n board in fantasy games.

I am always a Mage in these sort of games.
I am really excited about this, so I will pick it up tomorrow and probably skip Far Cry 4 to just get into this fully.

I normally play Elf or Half Elf Rangers but might try out the mage, tanks don't excite me at all. Just over 6 hours until release so should be able to play tonight after the Raid.

I actually prefer spellsword as a class, but I dont think it will be available/viable in DA.
