I actually want to try out the game again, but there is no point right now when a major update is coming this winter. Will at least be something to play before the pre-september-october release lull.

Last time I played nms was after the last major update. It was fun base building and doing the quests. Played more like subnautica which is awesome.
After the next nms update, it might be closer to the game people expected.
It's definitely a different experience playing these style / pace games compared to the annual AAA titles.

I have been playing nms lately and there is definitely more to do now (there was very little to do on release). Still feels like a grind but the missions add some direction.  It isnt so easy to upgrade ships and multitool now, and the building is a nice addition (building is introduced by means of step by step missions).

Hopefully there isnt another universe reset with the upcoming major "next" patch.

This game makes my Pro sound like an F-16 Fighter Jet taking off from an aircraft carrier for the entire duration that I'm playing it.

It is incredibly loud which is why I refuse to play the damn thing.

Mine is a bit loud, but monster hunter is worse.

Yes, I was running 4k. I didnt know nms has ps4pro enhancement as there are no options in the game. After googling I set the console output to 1080p and yes the console does run a fair bit quieter with better framerate in the game.

I restarted a playthrough after the pathfinder on survival.
I dont think ill start again, but probably continue from there since i had a freighter!

I put it on creative and gave my 4 year old the control the other day. He was having a ball just mining rocks and chasing creatures lol

Been trying to play this but it keeps crashing. I even started a new save thinking after the reset that my old save was corrupted and clashing but a brand new save crashes too. Might be worth picking this up on Xbox for the stability and no super loud fans.

Have you tried setting console output to 1080p? I endeded up playing it that way with the 60fps rather than resolution + fan noise.

You can also try a complete fresh install.

Loaded my old save up and noticed the glass door/canopy of my cockpit keeps raising and lowering while im flying around in first person view.

I went the fresh install route and that seems to have fixed it. Will try 1080p tonight.

Saving on a freighter apparently causes save corruption, saw it happen live to a streamer I was watching.

There's a patch in certification with Sony at the moment so hopefully that fixes my crashing issues. I tried 1080p mode last night and still crashed.

Yeah, crashing is being reported on all ps4, not just pro - but hey, at least ps4 got the full update unlike those who bought for PC on GoG.
