4-day demo coming

We are excited to announce a free GT Sport 4-day demo, available via PlayStation Store from October 9th through October 12th.
PS Plus members will be able to pre-load the demo starting from October 7th at 8:00am PT, with access to the game on October 9th, at 12:00am PT. For everyone else, download and access to the demo starts October 9th at 6:00pm PT. The demo officially ends October 12th at 8:00am PT.

I'll have to remember this. I played some Forza 5, FH 3 and AC last night testing out my production DriveHub. Keep coming back to AC as my benchmark driver. If this feels anything like AC with good career and online modes it may be a lot of fun.

GT Sport might actually have a chance considering the moderate response to both Project Cars 2 and Forza 7.

Limited VR + gimped single player mode is really killing it for me. GT was the game that swayed me to PS4, but Forza really has the upper hand atm.

Not sure, GTSport has brand recognition but being online focused I can't see it being a big seller. PC2 has better car handling physics for wheels as far as I have heard, and it's online racing is decent.

I guess the simplicity of GTSport will be a plus for general consumers - with being able to more easily join populated races a factor, as will the lack of car damage (no idea about how extensive the damage modelling will be as it wasn't in beta) . I expect it will be easier to play than PC2 with a controller also.

If GTSport can adequately separate clean drivers from those who treat racing like bumpercars, that would be another plus.

I am on the fence whether to bother trying the upcoming demo as my wheel is in storage.

Yeah, looks like it has wasted GBs on eye-candy. Servers are offline but you can watch the demo roll through several cars, scenes and replays. Looks pretty, but unnessasary for a demo.

GT Sport is indeed a looker - even on ogPS4. Very slick presentation. The online racing actually seems good too. Sometimes cars will ghost to avoid causing carnage which is a great idea - eg: if someone goes off road and rejoins track Willy nilly, they won't take out innocent drivers and ruin their race.

Car physics don't seem very good and Unfortunately there is a lack of ffb options.

physics and car damage have never been a strong point of this series as it is a cross-over game between sim (iRacing and rFactor) and Arcade (NFS, The Crew)

Played a bit of the driving school and arcade mode last night. It is a very pretty game, but I'm not so good with the controls. Noticed some Aussie songs on the playlist too
