What did your DS4 do to deserve that sort of torture device?

It didn't have Alphas on it ;)   I should have taken a photo of it before I put it on, definitely looks like a controller torture device.

wow looks like an abomination lol but does it make things much more comfortable or easier to use the DS4?

if you don't mind showing you beautiful hands are you able to take a some shots on how your hands rest and fingers lay and press? or maybe easier to do a video lol.

im not so interested in owning one but would be interesting to see how you would use your hands on it.

It is definitely odd but some things were easier, especially melee, crouch and changing weapons in destiny.  Havent tried it others games yet so I will report back.

Well to save me some time, here are a few vids done by others, 2nd one is some COD player reviewing the XBone one

Wow does look weird, but I'm interested in it.
I find it frustrating alot of the time having to take my finger of the stick when wanting to reload or change weapons.
Dam you Jykel...making me want to spend more money of gaming gear.   :)

Well it definitely solves that problem for reload, change weapons, melee/crouch.  I think they need to rethink the way they did the thing for the X button, but it was only an issue with double jumps in destiny and most FPS dont have a double jump.  Its hard to do a quick double tap, but I can still actually press the button I guess.

If I get used to it even I am going to have to get another one, will be odd going back n forth between that thing and a stock controller.

Not 100% sure they are worth the $$ they are charging having had a look at the official site.

If the control bothers you Major, consider a mouse.
i use the venom x (the transcoding box allows for any mouse / keyboard to be used)

and dont have an issue reloading, changing weapon or jumping while aiming due to using right thumb for the buttons while aiming with the mouse in hand.

Yeah I have seen the review you did on this one and am really wanting to get one of them.
After playing on the PC for a bit, I feel more comfortable with a mouse. And seeing as my PS4 is setup on the same screen as the PC in the man cave, I have the perfect setup for it.
The only problem being getting the missus on side with a purchase of that size, for something that in her mind the controller already does.

Apparently Logitech are still in the console game http://www.playseatstore.com/logitech-g29.html, I am assuming that is a placeholder price and if it is a true pic of the unit then Logitech have gone backwards.

That was my thoughts on the pic as well Sarge but the G29 is coming and it's ps4 compatible (apparently), I thought they said they were done with consoles but maybe they have realised their mistake.

You are correct Ant, they are not caring about their customers who have already spent up to $600 on their previous wheels and expect them to just lay that money out again.

Quick search seems to show the G29 is pure speculation at the moment.  Either way, I wouldn't buy another logitech wheel just based on their attitude.  Still looking for a new universal remote that isn't a logitech as well, although my S5 and my Tablet S both have IR so maybe software based.

I first heard about it from the games dude at JB and he was adamant that it was happening but who knows where he got his info, it doesn't matter to me as I've moved on.

Its nothing new. For the past year you can use a mouse on console with either Venom X (i have), XIM, CronusMax or Titan. Titan and venom let you use your own (any but most use a logitech gaming) mouse and keyboard too.
there is alway hate from console players against people using these in fps. But its no different from using a Steering Wheel in a car racing game.

A steering wheel is used for immersion while a mouse in FPS is used to increase aiming performance.

Funny thing is after years of FPS on consoles i aim better with a control them a mouse nowadays. Would have to completely re-train myself to use a mouse efficiently again.

Personally i think the steering wheel would give increased performance over a ds4 say when turning, as you have more control and precision.
A mouse on console unfortunately does not have true mouse movements, and is only the ds4 analog transcoded from the mouse, so it is not as good as people think in giving any increased aiming performance. Personally i always played fps with a mouse so am just used to it. When i stopped pc gaming, i was only using my console for rpg and sports games until I found a mouse for it. I know lots of fps players who are much better than people using a mouse, its just personal preference imo.
