I loved Fallout 3. It was a massive game and I never got around to finishing it, getting distracted by many other games which kept coming out at the time.

I finished F3 and all but 1 DLC but only got about 50% through NV. Just too buggy.

Finally found this thread.....didnt know if I should start a new thread just for rumours:

Fallout 4 hype builds as Bethesda announces first ever dedicated E3 conference

http://games.on.net/2015/02/fallout-4-bethesda-e3-2015/

IT'S HAPPENING!

June 14 is the date for E3.

June 14... awfully close to the launch of ESO for consoles.. (June 9)...

I'd lose my sh*t if they do announce Fallout 4.. so close to my birthday, would be a fantastic present.

Announcement would be great - but probably then would be a 2016 release. Great to see Bethesda having their own dedicated conference, should be something interesting revealed.

This is their first ever E3. In my opinion, they wouldn't plan their very first E3 just to reveal DOOM gameplay. There has to be either a new Elder Scrolls on the way or Fallout 4.

Awesome!

Now all I want to know is:

•   Where is it set?
•   I’m assuming SP only, but is there any form of co-op / online?
•   Release date????
•   No doubt there will be, but, what’s in the collectors edition?

Cannot wait for this!

All the rumours pointed towards either Boston or California, but apparently Bethesda team members were spotted mapping areas of Boston.

I hope they can make Fallout 4 feel fresh. The trailer certainly isn't, and of course will be waiting to see actual gameplay (maybe E3?).

Co-op would be better than having a brainless follower. I wouldn't say Boston is an impressive setting - but the quality of the game experience will be more about how Bethesda implement story, atmosphere and gameplay.

Hopefully will get an idea of release schedule at E3.
Title: Re: Fallout 4
Post by: spazmanaught on June 04, 2015, 01:24:28 PM
I'd prefer they stick to the gritty FO feeling/world. And SP for me all the way. A dog is much more reliable than say ................. stavros  :P
Title: Re: Fallout 4
Post by: AkyraStrike on June 04, 2015, 01:27:51 PM
I'd love some form of co-op, but it seems doubtful for these types of games.

I think boston could make for an interesting setting, within the FO lore, as it's where the Commonwealth and The Institute (formally M.I.T) is located, so there's a conflict over technology and who controls it, no doubt the brotherhood of steel will be at war with The Institute.

I think the biggest challenge for Bethesda is to make the choices in the game and the quest feel like they mean something and have weight to them, after playing the witcher 3 where your decisions really did alter the game and even small side quests felt engaging, rather then fetch quests, it'll be a big ask.

In saying that, I'm a FO fanboy so unless it's a massive steaming pile of bugs and glitches, I'll be happy enough.
Title: Re: Fallout 4
Post by: Mako on June 04, 2015, 02:17:13 PM
It'll be interesting to see what sort of graphics detail they'll be putting into the game. Vanilla Skyrim was beautiful and well done, and the modding community for PC took it further with 2k and 4k texture overhauls. I'm hopeful that that trend continues with Fallout 4!

Same, played FO 1 & 2, helped out on Tactics dev & testing, then waited an eternity for FO 3.   Replayed a GOG FO 2 run through last year, so probably more of a tragic than a fan boy :)

Anyone wanting to brush up of Fallout Lore so they're ready for FO4 should watch this web series:

They are just beginning series 3 and for anyone that's into fallout you'll love it. The first series is good, but from the second series on wards it presents like it's a David Attenborough documentary with an in game character being filmed by an EyeBot.

Yes and no,  it discusses events that happen in all the games,  but it's not in any sort of order and it doesn't specifically tell you which game it happened in.

There's probably better videos out there that will summarize the games individually,  but these videos really help flesh out the lore behind a lot that happened.

Awesome, would you recommend i check out some game summaries or this series? I don't know what its all about.

much like my feeling with the new Witcher 3 game. I haven't played the previous games so I haven't bothered to look into it.
Title: Re: Fallout 4
Post by: AkyraStrike on June 05, 2015, 11:12:51 AM
I don't think it's completely necessary to have played or know about the previous games to enjoy each FO installment as they tend to tell their own story. But they do all tie in together and in my opinion helps with the immersion into the fallout universe.

As I said in previous posts, I'm a bit of a fanboy for Fallout, so it's hard for me not to just say yes! go watch summaries, watch all the lore videos that ShoddyCast did (as per my link), but at the end of the day it's about how much you want to get into it.

I'm such a FO fan it's not funny. I've loaded FO1 onto my PC at work and kicked of anew run through.

For those who played the originals the guy/team who really invented the series have released Wasteland. Very much in the FO world. Worth a look if you like the series.

I'm so getting this. But don't think I'll bother with the collectors edition.

Got enough crap sitting around the house I never use. From that remote control car you got with one of the CoD's to the bust from the Duke Nukem collectable.

I'll just grab it from whatever store has it cheapest on release day.

Oh definitely play Fallout 3. Very good game. I've played it through a couple of times. Choosing different options that effect the story line.

And don't forget the expansion packs for FO3.. (though I'm sure you could pick up a GoTY edition cheap somewhere) they were all really good and worth it.

Plus even NV would be worth a play through, I think it actually had a better story then FO3, though it was more buggy thats for sure.

This +23

I missed the platinum because the update after a month or so reset my story. It didn't/wouldn't recognize stuff I already had done. Not even a new start through would make the easy trophies drop but I picked up one's that needed trophies I didn't have. I think I reset my PS3 hundreds of times in the first few weeks of FO3.

These first person shooters look okay, but they aren't Fallout IMO.

Call me a heretic if you want, but I much prefer the original games.
Turn based isometric was the best. Luckily I have Wasteland 2 to scratch that itch.

I do agree. FO, FO2 and FO Tactics are all great. But I really enjoyed FO3 and NV. It was still the FO universe just newer. Wasteland 2 has stuck to the tradition and keeps that style alive. I just think the FO3 gave us so much more. Our own house and such more immersive worlds. I think they should add FO into the game as a mini game or something. That would be fun. I think it's only 400mb or something so should be possible.

In my opinion the main difference (apart from being a different genre) is that the old fallouts were adults only.

They could include so much more realism and attitude - at their core, some humans can be bastards and animals - that's what you would see in a post apocalyptic world. Strong eat the weak and such and such (sometimes literally).

The final video in the S.P.E.C.I.A.L series is up (Luck).

So what's everyone's preferred character build? Do you go even across the board or specialised in one particular area? Given the new talent trees it seems the better idea is pick 1 or 2 and go for a min/max build.

I'm always partial to a high charisma / intelligence build as I like the additional dialogue options and such.. but I also like being sneaky and breaking into places.. then there's luck.. which can be a fun stat to have maxed... ughhh so many decisions.

i was initially thinking max out charisma and intelligence (you know, because that's me IRL, lol), but Spaz mentioned that strength will help with speed when carrying items...so maybe I will split between Strength, charisma and intelligence.

Always good to put a few points into strength so you can carry more. Not sure how accurate it is, but here's a character builder, it seems to indicate that 1 point in strength = 20 extra carry weight..

My FO style of play requires strength because I horde. I also invest in Char and Int as with all FO games the interactions dictate the game and being able to see all possible answers is a great advantage. I also never invest in anything melee as I go small guns until I get energy weapons. I'll start upgrading energy based from my first points allowed so I can use a laser or plasma straight away. And I always work towards a Fatman  :) I find lockpick useful as well.

Just talking about it is getting me hyped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats the great thing with the Fallout games, all the stats are useful :)   I will probably be investing in Perception, Agility and Luck with my 1st run through.  I like sneaking, luv VATS and Luck in the fallout games always has some twists to it ;)

I'll probably change 100x times before I settle, but looking at the perks I think I'll see how 4, 3, 2, 6, 5, 4, 4 plays.. it's a bit too spread for my liking but it gets me perks like the local leader, hacker, robotics expert and bloody mess... should let me be sneaky enough too which I like.

I wonder if you earn more points as you level, 21 points seems a lot less then the old games gave you.

hmm decisions . . decisions:

Two of my fav FO3 builds were the lucky brawler,

S(9), P(1), E(5), C(1), I(2) A(2), L(9)

and the stealthy hacker:

S(2), P(6), E(2), C(3), I(7) A(7), L(1)

will probably start with the hacker though melee and bloody mess are so much fun.

I'm leaning towards this too, love my stealth and getting crit hits in vats before the enemies even know I'm there.. bloody mess (and mysterious stranger) are fun little perks to have too. But I'm hesitant as I want to understand how perks / abilities (may or may not) affect crafting.

Yeah thats why I am now thinking I might actually start with my melee build first and work out some mechanics and see what I am missing having the other stats that low, then start my more serious character.  Then go back to the lucky ninja later on  :ninja:

I usually like to min/max and plan things, but with fallout, for whatever reason, I enjoy going in blind and seeing what happens

That's the kind of talk that'll have you growing an arm out 'yer stomach  :troll:

In past games I've leaned towards certain play styles, but mostly winged it (especially if I found I was dying too much, then bump up endurance, or hoarding too much then bump up strength).

I'm keen to see more of how the new perk system works before I commit too much. I'm just hyped to play this.

I need more information about the game before looking into SPECIAL decisions.

If there are only a few different weapons like in FO3 then I won't need to carry much (finished FO3 with hundreds of assault rifles in my cupboard).

I do like to try min/max a bit so need to know if there will be something similar to the bobble head collection of FO3. I don't want to waste even 1 skillpoint.

Maybe will go in blind for a week or so before starting my real playthrough. By then all the character building info will be discovered. That way I can plan all my perks from the start.

Has anyone looked around for prices? (Regular edition)
JB $89
PSN $99
EB $idontcare

If you preordered with JB, your price will be updated on the day you are charged. To the lower price.
I have had this happen several times with JB, always emailed and got the confirmation, and it always got adjusted correctly. Sometimes if a giftcard was used, they email you back a voucher with the difference.

This comes out on the day of my last exam, and its 9 days before Battlefront. If I feel good I might just pick this up day 1 too.

I got the Skyrim guide book that came with the game. It was practically a walk through/spoiler book, and I could not help myself on occasion to use it  :P

Great price but I need to hold back on this game (no guarantees :p) or I'll never finish Witcher 3.

I dont think I have ever seen JB do a midnight launch. (not in sth east melb)
Not with any of the other major titles I have bought of them over the years at least. (I buy most my games from jb)
And they normally open at 10am!, i normally see half a dozen others all waiting at the door for them to open lol,
once I just went to Big W and got it there at 9am for $5 more.

Yeah never seen or heard of JB doing a midnight launch, and there's 2 in my suburb (1 in a westfield and 1 on a main street). I'll be going to EB games to pick up my Pip Boy edition at midnight.

Speaking of launch, anyone heard any news of the old dreaded day 1 patches? Wondering if I'll be getting the game at midnight and setting a patch download and going to bed or staying up all night actually playing  ;D
Title: Re: Fallout 4

It's Bethesda, most likely be 5GB's  ;D

Midnight launches only go by preorder numbers and with most of JB's customers going online, I can't see them doing Midnight Launches anymore. They used to around my area but haven't heard of one for a couple of years.

Considering it's not an online game hopefully you could still play a bit before you do the update if it's way big. Have they mentioned if online is required to play? ( being online or logged in ). We are losing the interwebs later in the month and I'd be filthy if I couldn't play it because of that.

I wouldn't expect it to have online required to play. No mention has been made of that, and there would be general outrage if it was announced. The only requirement is for PC in that the whole game doesn't come on the disc - so the rest must be downloaded.

The PC game is distributed on a DVD so

1. It cant fit on the disc
and
2. That decision was made to help combat PC piracy and leaks

As far as I am aware, the console versions have the full game on blu-ray - apart from game patch.

What are these bugs you speak of...? Bethesda games "just work" don't they..? lol  :troll:

A good timely reminder for all to save often and have multiple saves! Possibly even ensure your saves get backed up to the cloud. Crashes and glitches can be sorted, however there's usually always at least 1 quest breaking / game breaking bug out there.

Wise words Akrya, definitely save often and rotate a bunch of saves.

Tactics was pretty clean on launch.  F2 only has some minor issues from memory.  Most fallouts have been less broken than recent battlefields at launch  :troll:

I do remember having a few crashing issues with Fallout 3 on PS3, and some issues with save files corrupting but surprisingly, despite everyone saying New Vegas was the worse for bugs, I never had any issues at all with NV.

In saying that I then had a few issues with Skyrim.. different game, but same engine so similar bugs.

The anticipation is killing me, I feel like a kid waiting for christmas at this point.. 4 days to go!

I also had a lot more issues with Skyrim than either FO3 or FO:NV.   I just remember a lot of graphics glitches with FO3 but nothing show stopping for me, unlike Skyrim which became unplayable.  Maybe I got lucky, or it was worse on PC

The biggest issue I remember having with Skyrim on console was the save file would grow exponentially and get to a point where loading times were absolutely unacceptable or the game would freeze altogether, had a lot of other issues and quest breaking bugs too.

Fallout 3 and NV nothing really sticks out, a couple of weird and / or derpy funny moments with A.I etc. but nothing that crippled the game or my progress. Fingers crossed that FO4 is smooth enough.

Looking at SPI build for long range and firearms, with carry capacity due to all the crap lying about actually being used to make mods at workstations now.

bye bye social life.

Not to be devils advocate (ok who am I kidding,  :troll:)  but I find it interesting how we bash so many devs and publishers on shit games / shit releases but somehow get caught in  the hype of fallout and forget that every.single.fallout.game.ever has been a bug ridden disaster, especially at launch

Didn't take long

I won't say how as I don't want to break the game for anyone who doesn't want to know, but there's a way to get the Cryolator you see in the vault before you get the Master lock picking perk at level 18.

If you want to get your paws on it early, a quick Google search should show you ;)

I have played a little and came across a quest breaking bug - in the very first (proper) quest outside.

After completing the objective the quest would not complete. The objective would pop up on the left of the screen but would not actually tick off in the pip boy, and NPCs still acted like quest was not complete.

Spent a couple of hours running around trying to complete it, reloading several times to re-do the mission. Each time had same result.

A search on Google shows this bug is present on both consoles and PC. PC has a "console command" fix but no work-around for PS4.

Need to restart my game - I think from vault exit.

Definitely lucky (in a way) that it was an early quest, though Bethesda are usually pretty good at patching quest breaking bugs if they are common. When I start any Bethesda game I don't do too many quests straight up so I avoid any potential early bugs, though I guess in your case it being one of the first quests really sucks.

I think I spent more time last night just building up Sanctuary.. can see myself spending so many hours just perfecting my little settlements

I've had a few bugs so far, nothing major.

One was funny actually, I've looted a dead body and somehow the eyeball of the corpse was stuck in the middle of my screen, so everytime i aimed down my gun scope, the eyeball was right on the cross hairs.

Went away as soon as i left the room.

Reddit user DisneyLines has created an awesome website for Fallout 4 players.

Called Fallout Tracker, it allows players to keep track of all collectibles within the game and check off which ones they have gathered.

If you want to know where to find all the collectibles such as Bobbleheads, Magazines, Weapons, etc., it gives you that information as well. It even has links to videos which are a visual step-by-step guides. Not all videos have been added, as it’s still a work in progress.

You can even save your data across multiple devices when you register, and DisneyLines promises he won’t send you any “annoying fucking emails” when you sign up.

More collectibles will be added when discovered along with data such as weapon damage in the future. The site contains a few spoilers, but DisneyLines plans to add a code which will only show the locations when you hover over it with your mouse.

Nice find Slayer, thanks for posting that.

I got to play a bit more on the weekend, still spending more time building my settlements then anything haha.. though I have made it up to level 11 now and have a nice selection of weapons with mods that I'm pleased with, enjoying the game a lot, just a shame I have very little gaming time at the moment (probably down to once or twice a week for a few hours) so fallout should last me til 2018 at this rate lol

I had a bit of time off last week and managed to get a lot of FO4 playtime in.

Been chatting with quite a few mates in a party chat (no spoilers) whilst in game and I recon they have done a great job with this release.  Why?

Firstly, after about 3 days of playtime I have had only a few minor graphics glitches, no freezes, fast saves (loving the quick save option).  No show stoppers, and most of the graphics issues provide for some laffs.  Some lag in talking to NPCs activating but I can live with that.

Next, its a very open game.  Chatting with 4 to 5 other players over the weekend, we have all taken very different paths so far.  Like @AkyraStrike  , I have spent a bit of on settlements and also spent time scavenging resources for upgrades.  At level 27, I am only a few quests into the main storyline but I have done a full lap of the outside of the map.  Other mates have rushed through the main quest early and are then starting side quests (ignoring settlements etc.)  Others just adventuring around and exploring.   You play the game the way you want to, always a key point of the FO series.

Other good things I like with this release.  Looting is sooo much easier!  Upgrading guns and armour to you play style is great.  You want to be all shadowy with suppressors, its your choice now.   Legendary enemies and weapons are a great addition, spices things up a bit.

The subtle changes to VATS and much improved combat mechanics are a welcome addition, imho.

I also like the changes to the character progression and perks, much more flexible.

So easy to get side tracked as well, 'oh this building looks interesting' . . . . 2 hours later . . . 'now what was I doing?' :)

Haha this was me yesterday! I've barely done any quests outside of the first couple, decided yesterday I was going to knock over a quest I picked up pretty early, headed off in the direction it was telling me, saw that tempting little icon of some sort of building off in a slightly different direction then I was headed, though yeah why not it's probably just a small building or something... 2hrs later.. oh what was I doing again...? *heads back to Sanctuary to dump all my crafting loot*

lol FO will grab ya all  :P

I'm a few ( 8 - 10 ) hours in and having the guide have done some ' special ' things first but have only done up to Sanctuary on the actual mission. The few tweaks they have done are great but it still feels like the FO world for me which is great. The only thing I'd say disappointing in is the ease I picked up power armour and a mini gun and laser. Those things in previous games you had to work for but if that's all I find wrong I can live with it :)

Lol, I rebelled :)  I am not using power armour at all on my 1st character much to the amusement of some mates.  Some encounters have been hell, but Stealth Boys n Mines FTW!   Also running companion-less, they still dont seem to understand the concept of stealth  :ninja:

Title: Re: Fallout 4

I've not used the power armour since doing the actual quest you get it in.. I do have half a dozen fusion cores now though but it's too OP for early game stuff, might use it later on if when I encounter some harder sections. I do have a Fatman launcher already, but only 1 nuke for it, so I'm saving that.

I've been taking dogmeat with me still, even though it does make it harder to stealth, the ability to dump all my junk on him when I get over-encumbered is a huge bonus.

I've got a pretty decently ungraded hunting rifle that's basically a sniper now (long scope, long barrel, heavy frame, full stock, large mag), can usually pick off a few enemies before they close on me (feral ghouls aside, damn those guys are quick!). Also brought a unique sword

I've done that with 2 buildings just for everyone else, but for my house I'm using the plot next to all the work stations in Sanctuary, so far it's 3 storeys high and has 2 balconies. Furniture is sparse, just a bed, some storage units and a desk and chair, oh and the bobble head display case.

Though last night I was messing around with it trying to move one of the stairs and I think I broke it slightly.. then I started feeling a bit motion sick from spending too long in build mode and had to turn it off.

Ok so I started a new character, this time on Xbone (got a free copy with the Halo 5 LE Console) as I wanted to claim the free Fallout 3 download and this time I went with a female character and wow, the voice acting for the female is so much better then the male.

And to make matters worse I've already picked up some better armour (full body set) then I had on my first character and her special stats are better distributed.. thinking I'm now going to stick with the female.

Yeah i didnt know that blimp was owned by BoS.. minor spoiler i know but please be mindful of those of us who haven't had the time to sink into it to get to certain places.

I only worked that out yesterday when i joined them
I wan't keen to sign up when i first ran into them because of their super-dickery attitude when you talk to them.

Then i went and spend 30 hours building houses and killing super mutants instead.

I spent the first 20+ hours getting a feel for armour/weapon system, how to use the pip boy and doing a lot of exploring. Geez I found myself just looting for hours, pretty sure I am a hoarder now lol.

Being my first fallout game I am playing blind. The levelling of perks I found complicated and too many to choose from, but eventually figured out. It's cool how you can customise exactly to your style.

I avoided using VATs at first because I was used to fps aim and shoot style, but now I'm always relying on it. I've found some nice gear that has perks to speed up Action Points refilling. Also got stealth leg armour that turns me invisible when I crouch, reminds me of good times with my Hunter in destiny lol.

About 40 hours in and I've done a few side missions and main missions. Really enjoying it now, it's quite addictive.

I thought pre-release leaked screenshots were faked due to the FO4 looking quite good on PS4, but I have seen this happen twice....awful effect seems to be related to looking towards the sun. This is my own screenshot. I did take a video to show it also, but screenshot is enough. Aiming away from the sun looked fine, but the moving my view saw this pixelation.

Such a great time sink this game.  Started my 2nd character on friday, this one is 10 luck, 10 charisma, 1 int,ag,per, end and 5 odd strength.  My 1st character had 1 charisma so I didn't do the settlement/building thing.

Spent all weekend scavenging mats and building.  I will try and get some screenies once Sanctropolis is complete.  I hit the height limit early on and had to alter my plans for a sky tower.  Took ages to surround all of sanctuary with a junk wall, built a water treatment plant (foundations work in water!), a power station, the list goes on :)

Thanks to the Idiot Savant perk(s), I have leveled up pretty quick, have some trade stores and supply routes setup to my other neglected settlements.   Haven't touched any of the quest lines except for the nearby settlements ones.  Need more copper!

Has anyone found a solution for the following bugs:

1. A vendor in my settlement will no longer barter. All I can do is trade. I reassigned the position to a different settler but still cannot barter. I have repositioned the vendor building and still no barter.

Annoying as
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

EDIT: fixed by fast travelling away, quicksave, turn off ps4, reload game, run back to settlement.

2. Some food crop was damaged maybe in an attack. Now half my crop is not selectable in build mode and not repairable. I get the message that plant need repair. I did try to quicksave, build a fence post on top of all the broken plants, reload the quicksave. It worked for some but resulted in some of my healthy plants to break.

Finished the main story today. Overall I think this game was disappointing after all the hype behind it. The story was kind of dull and the characters/dialogue were two-dimensional. However I did like the combat/VATS system and I admit wasting several hours looting and building up my settlements. Fallout 4 = 6.5/10 storywise and because

I've played FO for years and I wasn't aware it had a story. I thought the goal was to collect empty tin cans? Spaz fail  :P

But yeah they generally push you to a finish if you head that way. With so many endings I guess they are limited to the choices for each one.

I'm pretty sure the story of Fallout 4 is something along the lines of.. I have to find my son... right after I build multuple settlements, loot all the plungers in the wasteland, kill about 500,000 people/animals and put a bowler hat on my robot servant.. (serious.. do it if you haven't already haha)

I actually beg to differ on this, I'm completely and utterly absorbed into the main quest line. Just completed Act I last night and had the Brotherhood of Steel rock up in the Prydwen and their vertibirds. Super keen to get knighted by them and stomp around the wasteland in my own suit of T-60 Power Armor :D

I've put off doing the main quests to do a few side quests, search for better armor and the like. I have a rough hunch about the status of my son, and if I'm right, he doesn't need my urgent rescue ;)

But, as one who didn't follow the massive hype train of Fallout 4's release, I'm yet to be disappointed. The pipe weapons are a bit bland, yes, but my max-modded Marksman's rifle and tricked out 10mm pistol is all I need to keep me alive.

That and sometimes when I get bored, I like to put on my laundered grey suit, a bowler's hat and wield a Tommy gun blasting apart my foes!

Ahh yes, I have always been a Brotherhood nut, so my choices for closing off factions is easy. Although the Minutemen are growing on me, everywhere I go, they hail me as General!

Currently, I'm cleaning out Jamaica Plains, that place is literally SWARMING with feral ghouls of all levels. I'm thankful to have my trusty recon rifle, I try to avoid confrontational combat as often as I can in situations regarding creatures that can give you rad poisoning

So after playing a fair few more hours, and progressing into the game, I've learned one thing: the Commonwealth is HUGE!

I'll settle in for a session with a list of things to do, and end up getting sidetracked, over-encumbered and left wondering what I'd set out to do in the first place, whilst looking at the clock and realising its 1am. Loving every minute spent in the wasteland though, I haven't taken my power armor off since I got given a set by the Brotherhood

I agree. While the map is actually smaller than fallout 3, there is way more to do in FO4. There is less empty space.

I always wander off towards a specific location until I notice nearby unexplored locals on my compass. Everything must be cleared - 4 hours later I'm still nowhere near my initial intended location.

I have not used power armour since the opening mission though.

I'm tossing up if I should just keep doing the side missions and exploring and max out as many perks as I can before going to Diamond City. I've almost reached 10 ( I'm over 10 with add-ons ) on all SPECIAL. I think I just need 1 luck and 1 Charisma. Down side though is I've only activated about 4 perks, 2 of the radiation resistance included. Since no other games coming out are drawing me I might just keep plodding.

I also purchased the season pass in fear of the cost increasing which I'm not sure if that ever happened Just checked, $76 now. Woohoo for cheap season pass

I cant figure out if there is a way to check how many hours I've played, but after hitting level 41 I decided I should start the main quest and went to diamond city for the first time.
I was getting a little bored I think with the side quests, so it's time to progress the main quest lines.
My settlements can fend the themselves for a while,  they all have enough food,  water,  bed and defence so I don't know why the fluctuate :/

Looking forward to downloading the dlc tomorrow when my internet cap ticks over

@raz81  I think the time played can be seen on your save game. When you load the game (don't load last save from menu) you can see time played for each save file you have.

Loving the DLC, I'm starting to build colonies of robots at my settlements and have them handle all the farming, defence etc. Should be great.

Questline was a bit meh but the real deal is the robotics manufacturing.

Thinks its time to dust of my Fallout 4 and get the DLC.
Actually stopped playing just before finishing the main quest because i needed a break.

It's calling my name again.

Geez I haven't started the other DLC. I've only just gone to Diamond City. So much stuff opened up I am up to my ears in ghoul guts and Super Mutant entrails

The robot DLC was pretty good. I have installed workshop, but not played with it yet. Hoping to catch lots of radstags since they make good food.

Wow ok. So my plan to get back into fo4 this weekend is now on hold.

Don't know how well the movement will work in vr, but there may be a teleport option also.

So we're going to get a bunch of existing IP in VR this year?  This is potentially going to really damage VR as the resolution and drawing depth don't tend to be as good as the underlying IP.

During my 300+ hours in fo4 the only thing I could think about was how it would be incredible in VR. Again though, PC only? They don't mention anything specific in the trailer, but I'd imagine the PS4 struggling to run this
