How did you personally find the tear down and reassembly?

My Pro has a loose roller in the Bluray drive and all disc based games won't start unless I shake the Pro a bit. I need to pull it apart, cleaner the rollers and put it back together.

Also, where did you get your thermal pads?

Nice one Slayer! Spaz's pro only goes takeoff mode on 1 game but this might be a good preventative option

So, as some of you may know I decided to purchase thermal paste and thermal pads for my Pro as I was experiencing overheating and crashes in certain games, Black Ops 4 being the latest culprit.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos during the process but in a nutshell, it was a excellent decision because my Pro is so quiet now, you'd think I just went out and bought a new one.

If your Pro is secretly a Boeing 747, this may be the route to take to shut the damn thing up because it worked wonders for me.

Oh and I also cleaned my heatsink as it was a little dusty but really not that bad. I also didn't need to purchase a Nidec fan because my Pro already has a Nidec fan

Not my walkthrough but covers the steps, only difference is he is using liquid metal whereas I just used Arctic Silver 5.

I'm more worried about having to now shave, bathe, and feed myself.
I struggle with all that IRL. Don't want to be doing in a game now too

This is why I have had a beard for the past 5yrs.. Got sick of shaving. Suits me find to grow a beard in game.

Still on the fence about this.

There was too much flower picking in the 1st for my liking.

What sort of put me off - I was in EB on the weekend with my son, and they have an offer - trade 2 games and get this for $29.

This smelt of desperation to me to get numbers up

Ehh more EB desperate to get more pre-owned games in that they can sell $5 less than a brand new game.

This will sell well, it's R* and people have been wanting a sequel for a while. It wont get anywhere near GTA numbers, but it'll do well enough to be considered a big success.

Yeah Spaz is giving this a miss. Looks pretty but the story looks very dodge.

No doubt it will be GOTY before release  :P

So Spaz wonders if the 100gb is lots and lots of content or all the pretty features? Either way it's a sign of the times.
